"A friend gave me a gift certificate for a free

and refreshedand it only left my face slightly pink!"

Microdermabrasion in Frederick, Maryland
This procedure is performed by an esthetician in the office using the MegaPeel microdermabrasion device. During treatment, this machine propels fine crystals against the skin to
remove the dead outer surface. At the same time, a vacuum removes the excess crystals from the skin's surface. Your microdermabrasion procedure at our Frederick office takes only minutes.
Recovery Time
There is no recovery time needed following microdermabrasion. The skin will be slightly red for
anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours, but not so red that it is
embarrassing to be seen in public places. The procedure can be performed
during a lunch break or on the way home from work for a minimum of
inconvenience.
Your Result
A series of MegaPeels will improve: scarring, fine lines, moderate
wrinkles, pigmentation problems and uneven tones, dull, lifeless and
sun damaged skin. Our Frederick microdermabrasion patients can enjoy a healthy new look with improved skin color. We often combine
a MegaPeel with our other skin restoration programs for added
benefits.
Microdermabrasion FAQ's
- If I do a number of microdermabrasion treatments, will this be as effective as having laser resurfacing done?
No. The mega peel only removes layers of dead skin cells. The laser, in
contrast, removes both dead and live skin cells to repair the skin. The
laser also has the biphasic effect of remodeling the collagen in the
deeper layers of the skin.
- Is microdermabrasion safe?
Yes. The crystals that are propelled against the skin are not recycled.
They are vacuumed into a separate, sealed compartment and are
discarded. The tips that are used during the treatment are sterilized
and changed with each application. There is no chance of contamination
from one client to another.
